Itās easy to make a beautiful serving board with the TotalBoat Epoxy Ocean Serving Board Mini Kit. Using the included epoxy, tints, and the step-by-step directions, your creativity will shine when you watch the ocean foam cells form in the epoxy for the first time! If you donāt like your result, let it dry and try again on top. And youāll have epoxy & tints to spare to try on other pieces! Best of all, TotalBoat MakerPoxy by Jess Crow is low odor and low VOC, so there are no harsh fumes, making this a fun, family friendly activity thatās safe for serving. These serving boards also make great gifts that everyone will love! IMPORTANT: Do not cut on the cured epoxy because it can chip.
Kit includes:
- 1 ā 8 oz. Kit TotalBoat MakerPoxy by Jess Crow Epoxy Resin (4 oz.) and Hardener (4 oz.)
- 1- Wooden serving board (Size: 13.5ā³ x 7.5ā³)
- 5 ā 8 oz. mixing cups
- 20 ā Small wooden popsicle stir sticks
- 10 ā 2 oz. tinting cups
- 3 ā Black DiamondĀ mica powder pigment packets ā 1 Green, 1 Bora Bora Blue, 1 Diamond Deep Sea Blue (5g/pk)
- 3 ā Bottles of Mixol universal liquid pigments ā 1 White (20ml), 1 Blue 9 (20ml), 1 Blue 99 (20ml)
- 1- Roll of blue masking tape (Width: 1ā³)
- Easy-to-follow instructions
You will also need (not included in kit):
- Plastic sheeting or a silicone mat to protect your work surface
- A heat gun for removing any small bubbles and for moving the epoxy around on the board to create your design
- A knife or razor blade
- 90-99% isopropyl rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle
- A scraper
- Cutting board oil
Personal Safety
Be sure to work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate personal protection when working with epoxy resin and hardener. Personal protection includes proper gloves, respirator, and eye, face, skin, and clothing protection. Be safe, and have fun! IMPORTANT: We do not recommend cutting on your serving board because the epoxy can chip, and chips of epoxy are harmful.
