Founded in 1973, the EGR Group is a designer and manufacturer of precision engineered solutions marketed through two Strategic Divisions – Automotive and Building and Commercial Products. We expect innovation, both in the products we produce, and in the way we operate. We cultivate craftsmanship, preserving skills learned over generations. Most of all, though, we believe in the importance of manufacturing. Manufacturing is the foundation of our economies, and our societies. It defines a nation’s inclusion into the developed world. It is the start of the supply chain for everything, from health care and construction, to energy and defense. Whatever the shape of tomorrow’s economy, manufacturing will always be its foundation. EGR began in 1973, producing point-of-purchase products and providing light plastic fabrication services. A family business, EGR was founded by brothers Greg and Rod Horwill. Among EGR's first products were nested acrylic coffee tables, acrylic shoe stands for chain stores, and plastic framed mirrors. In 1983 EGR began production of automotive accessories, beginning with acrylic Head Light Covers for the iconic Ford XD Falcon. Acrylic weathershields for a wide range of vehicles soon followed. Since then, we've gone from strength-to-strength with automotive products by continually investing in new machinery to expand our product offering.
