TotalBoat FlexEpox is a versatile, flexible epoxy adhesive thatās great for repairing joints or fabricating small laminated parts that are prone to excessive flexing. Itās much more flexible than two-part traditional epoxy/hardener formulas, and its easy-to-mix, two-part formula produces tough, permanent, waterproof bonds that absorb stresses without cracking, and flex without coming unstuck.
FlexEpox epoxy adhesive maintains its form better at higher temperatures, recovers faster from elongation, and is a better value. Compared to flexible one-part urethane adhesives, FlexEpox creates structural bonds with greater flexibility and better long-term performance.
Great for bonding materials other adhesives canāt
FlexEpox flexible epoxy adhesive can bond many different types of materials, including metals such as aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel, and is great for repairing aluminum boats. It also bonds fiberglass, G10, glass, ceramics, plastics, masonry, and wood. FlexEpox even bonds tropical and domestic hardwoods that typical one-part urethane adhesives canāt because of the oiliness associated with these wood species.
Works in a wide range of temperatures, on wet or dry surfaces
If you have to fix a broken joint or fabricate a part on a cold, rainy day ā a typical New England reality ā FlexEpox can be applied with complete confidence to wet or damp surfaces in temperatures as low as 40Ā°F. It can also be applied in temperatures as high as 125Ā°F, which is good news for boats and RVs in sunny southern and tropical climes. If you need it to cure underwater, under the right conditions it can do that, too, just be sure to allow at least 24 hours before subjecting it to high loads.
Easy to mix, easy to use
For some repairs, you just need a little epoxy, and FlexEpox is very easy to mix in small batches. Squeeze equal amounts of resin and hardener in a 1 to 1 mix into a container and stir to mix thoroughly. No complicated measuring equipment or pumps needed. And with a viscosity like thick honey, whatās really sweet is FlexEpox wonāt drain out of joints while itās curing, but can also wet out fiberglass cloth and tape easily. The generously long 75-minute working time gives you enough time for bigger laminating jobs and clamping parts.
