Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that is important for the normal function of immune system. ā As an antioxidant, vitamin C helps our bodyās cells, including immune cells, to fight against free radicals. ā Free radicals can cause oxidative stress which may damage cells.
